We have been reading Lila and the Secret of Rain.
When it starts to rain the whole village celebrates with music and dancing.
Write a poem to celebrate the coming of the rain. Use a repeating pattern and the words and pictures in the book to help you write your poem.
Your poem might start like this:
Thank you for the rain
It feels like kisses on our cheeks
Thank you for the rain
It makes out crops grow tall and green
Once you have written your poem you can illustrate it and then practise reading it out loud. Send in your poems to the Year 2 email Year2@herbertmorrison.lambeth.sch.uk so I can read them too 🙂
